Suqin Ge
Director
Suqin Ge is a Professor of Economics and the Director of the Center for Future Work Places and Practices (CFWPP) at Virginia Tech. She is an applied micro economist with broad interest in labor and development economics. Her work has covered a wide range of topics including education, wage inequality, discrimination, migration, and the labor market implications of emerging technologies. She was awarded the Department of Labor Scholar in 2015. She holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Southeast University in China, an M.A. in Economics from Fudan University in China, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota at Twin Cities.
