Ralph Hall

Ralph Hall

Ralph Hall is an Associate Professor in the Urban Affairs and Planning (UAP) Program and the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA). His work focuses on the provision of sustainable water supply services in developing countries, sustainable transportation in developed countries, strategies to transform the industrial state towards sustainable development, and inclusive capitalism. Before joining the faculty of Virginia Tech in 2009, he was a Postdoc fellow in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University. He holds an MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton, an M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering, M.S. in Technology & Policy, and Ph.D. in Technology, Management, & Policy from MIT.
