Mengxi Zhang

Mengxi Zhang, Ph.D., MPH, is an Assistant Professor in Health Systems and Implementation Science at Virginia Tech. Her work focuses on the well-being of immigrants and displaced persons, and disparities in health and healthcare accessibility among underrepresented populations. She graduated from Tulane University with her Ph.D. in International Health and Development and master’s degree in Epidemiology. Prior to Tulane, she majored in Preventive Medicine in Capital Medical University in China. She is the vice president of Future Data Lab and leads Spatial Data Lab for Healthcare Systems.
