Zhu Wang Speaks on Idea Diffusion and Property Rights

Zhu Wang, vice president for research in financial and payment systems in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, will give a talk on “Idea Diffusion and Property Rights.”

The talk is co-hosted by the Center for Future Work Places and Practices at Virginia Tech and will take place on April 5, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Pamplin Hall, Room 31. 

In this presentation, Dr. Wang will discuss his recent work that studies innovation and diffusion of technology at the industry level. The study derives an industry's evolution from birth to maturity and characterizes how diffusion affects the incentive to innovate. The talk is tailored to appeal to faculty and students, and you are invited to attend.
